Hi all. New to the forum. Still pretty new to radio also. Located in the Philadelphia area of USA. Picked up a used version of the x108g about a year ago and finally got around to stringing up an antenna. I've been messing around with 28mhz because that's the only place my license allows voice access. Been noticing some of the common problems listed in the sticky. I guess I'll start by updating the firmware. Then start poking around the mods because lifes too short to stay stock. Lol

Phewww. Thought I bricked my x108g. Like a dumb ass I loaded the whole unzipped file into the rig. Then I couldnt get the PC to recognize the radio. I switched to another PC and it worked. I now have a June 8 2016 file but sadly I dont have the swr meter. The rig does seem to be a bit more smooth (less glitchy). Oh well all is good again
