    Hello everyone.
This appears to be a cool little radio. Without reading every thread, are there any suggestions or issues that I should be aware of as I start using my new radio?

Hello, congrats Guys, this is a great little radio.
There's no competition for such a small radio at 20W.
The only one i know is a military QMAC HF90, a great rig too, but channelized and difficult to use as a HAM.
No pb with it, mine is a 2015 model and has bassy audio on LSB especially, i will offset the BFO to cure that.
Also, be aware there is a CR1220 battery inside (on top right side near the display, rig display in front of you, cover off), and it holds memory and also your QRG and other settings you have when turning off the radio.
Mine is dead so i will have to replace it. I also will make the NB mod when opening the radio, maybe the newer models NB work, i don't know.
Enjoy yours, it works great in the field, no RFI pb on mine at all.

    Hello everybody,
I'm eagerly waiting for mine as well, just got it shipped this morning!
Since I haven't decided yet for a suitable (and affordable) HF aerial I'm going to test it initially in reception only with a mini whip antenna (usually connected to a SDR receiver). To avoid any accidental damage to the antenna circuit and of course the new RTX is there any kind of function or hidden menu I can use to temporarily inhibit transmission like on other rigs? I briefly looked on the manual but didn't find anything. Such a switch could be very helpful, at least I could do some initial testing without the fear of toasting the tx stage.

    Ciao Lorenzo,
I don't know of such option, but you could either listen without the mike (but you cannot change band easily) or set the power output to the minimum, and no harm will be done.
Maybe somebody has a better tip to give you.
Anyway, this rig has an awesome receiver (on HAM bands) and it is great for portable provided his weight and consumption. Not as rugged as a military rig, but still, a great rig.
    Have fun with it.

Great feature packed QRP style rig. The display is better than all my previous rigs.
