So I have seen others asked this before but I shall ask again. Does anyone have the mic wiring pin out for these things. The dollar store mic it comes with is terrible. I want to wire something better to it.I have used my Icom hM-198 from my IC-7100 with it and it sounds somewhat better but I don't think the wiring is is the exact same. Seems to be to much bass to it and I can't find any settings to offset the bass. Thanks for any help

The HM 198 when you key it sometimes it changes the frequency on it's own.I did get what they said is the wiring from Xeigu and it is the same as the IC 7100. But I am sending the radio back this week, more things don't work than does.Disappointed with it is a understatement. The radio and the whole thing of playing hopscotch with them has taken it's toll.I am done with the piece of junk.I have read more bad about them than good, when I got it there wasn't even a wire going to the so 239. Poor craftsmanship,to much money for to little of radio performance half the functions do nothing.Pure garbage

------------

The microphone is by the way not identical with the one for the IC-7000 and not only because of the differently printed buttons. If you open the micro, the HM-133 is on the board as with the corresponding Icom model. In the first series, which I still have, the circuitry was also identical, that is, the PTT was switched via microprocessor and not via the PTT switch directly. The second generation (2nd batch), which is currently among:rolleyes: others. From , has a somewhat rebuilt microphone circuit with adapted firmware. The PTT is now "hard" wired. With an Icom microphone (without conversion) you can now no longer send. "
