So before you seek out the elusive
Seiko Instruments MS920SE FL27E battery for your X-108G.... like I did ..... I waited until I got the new battery before opening up my X-108G...
My new to me radio does not have that battery in it!!!
    It has CR1220, 3V Lithium!
    Go figure.

Do you have to hook up the new battery before removing the old one?

My radio already had zero volts coming out of the old battery so every time that I turned it on.... it came up with (I think) 14.270 LSB, LOL.
As soon as I put the new battery in, it held the last VFO channel, all memories etc. Good luck de Frank KG9H

I have an older radio that needs a new battery it seems. How do you get into the radio to replace it? Any plans or videos any knows of? Thanks for the help.

Here are some pictures of the battery area for the older one. I almost deleted them.
