Hello my fellow X-108G hams!
My x-108G outdoor version has developed parasitic oscillations. These develop output of up to 20 watts according to both the internal display and an analog meter connected to the unit.
The parasitic oscillations only happen when I have the unit connected to an antenna. When connected to a dummy load there is no problem. When I connect to any antenna the problem is there. This includes my well matched dipole on the roof of my building some 70 feet away from the unit. I doubt it is RF getting back into the radio.
Does anyone have any ideas?
