X-108 Info Bad Tx Audio Quality and Level (1 Viewer)

Hello All,

It aeems to be a general problem that the Tx quality is poor, very muffled and low drive getting only about 5 watts peak.
Does anybody have a solution for this?
Eg Alternative mic insert, adjusted the mic gain inside the rig on the PCB?

Any ideas appreciated!

Hi Steve, are you sure you are running the rig on 13.8V and that's getting to the rig, not being dropped across the fuse(s) you added in - you did add a fuse in the power-line I hope.
The display on the rig shows the voltage it is seeing, so just take as look at that when you are transmitting if it drops a lot between Rx and Tx, you've got a problem in the supply lines or the source (PSU / battery) you are using.

Low voltage when the rig is drawing amps on Tx would explain what you are experiencing.
