Hoping my doesn't do this. I just received my 108g and it looks pretty neat.

now I have change the display OLED - i changed it calmly - a maximum of 20 minutes - alles perfect again

So I have read so many reports of long cable , short cable, pink screen on replacement , no pink screen on replacement, failure ,and success as in your case!
So could you tell me me , where did you purchase your replacement screen???

This was the item I purchased and it worked perfectly. The radio is still marginally OKishh, but at least I can read the screen again

was the part I purchased with the short lead. Pretty straight forward to change

my screen is also so dim you cant read it, im almost ready to drop this radio in the bin i think, i cant even download the latest firmware, either i havnt liked something or i dont have enough posts or something else, ive never seen a forum that makes it SO difficult for members to actually download files

my display is the same, i was out yesterday and sun was out so forget the 108.... it was actually embarrassing. works fine in total darkness though, very handy

My screen also turned red. It seems like many people are experiencing the same thing. It's probably a defect in the OLED display.

I've already bought and am waiting for a replacement screen. I'll replace it.

Is their a way of getting a replacement display for the X108G? Mine has gone pink in colour and very faint. I feel its going to be totally unusable soon :-(

Yes, and it's very easy. You just need to remove the panels and take out the entire circuit board, then remove the front panel where the screen is located.
I bought this replacement screen with the long ribbon cable for easier installation, as the short one can be awkward. It's very simple, and there's even a short tutorial on this forum made by another user; ; you can see it in the thread above.
